BVfK's goal is to create a community of independent, professional car dealers. Today, BVfK is the largest dealer association in Europe, has set many standards and gained much recognition. Since then, free and independent car dealerships are no longer perceived worse by customers, but are increasingly respected and noticed by customers as an authority in the industry. The association has managed to gain recognition from such important organisations as the Competition Centre, ADAC, Consumer Centres and many other institutions and organisations
